Hey, ya’ll!  Welcome to my blog.  Here you will find great design tips and ideas that are bound to spur many a project.  My personal opinions about colors and where I recommend using them will be a big part of this blog because, well, I LOVE color.  Of course I’ll have a few puns sprinkled here and there to keep you on your toes, but first, I have a confession to make.  This is a big one.  Ready?  I very rarely, if ever, use the word ya’ll in my day to day conversations.  Here’s the skinny: In the first video Chad (my Bossfriend), and I ever shot together I was super duper nervous.  I had no idea what to say.  He hit the record button and “hey, y’all” came out of my mouth.  I really don’t know why.  It was kinda hilarious,  Chad got a big kick out of it. Since then it has become sort of a thing I have to say, expected. My close friends just shake their head at me, knowing it’s not really something I say. Why come clean now?   I can’t just start a brand new blog without my readers knowing the truth.   Regardless, it’s too late to turn back now.  I’m knee deep in the word y’all using and have developed a bit of admiration for this very southern contraction.  So, I want y’all to enjoy my blog.  Mmmm Kay?

My first topic is all about fall.  Oh my gourd, I love fall!!  When I hear the word fall the first thought to enter my mind is the weather.  We’re finally hitting some fall-ish temperatures around here the last couple days. So, how does a cool girl warm up?  She wraps herself up in a fall inspired throw, right?  Throws are a great way to add some festive flair to your home no matter what the holiday.  Fleece, wool, cotton, and faux fur are just a few options that come to mind.  We’re talking specifically about fall right now so the colors to look for are going to be inspired by the warm, rich shades of the changing trees, and foods that surround us this time of year.  Think cocoa, caramel, pumpkin, gold, red, fig, navy, green, maroon and deep purple. These beautiful colors will warm up your space and chilly toes in no time.

And don’t limit your throws to the indoors.  This time of year the bugs have all gone back to hell where they belong so you can sit outside with your throw and enjoy the crisp outdoor air.  Think football games, bonfires, neighborhood gatherings, festivals, and plain old porch sittin’.  A terrific way to add a punch of fall to your porch is to toss a throw over a chair, bench, or swing.  Oh, no, throws are not just for the couch ya’ll.
