Unique Painting KC, Top 4 Favorite White Paint Colors

White paint colors can be so tricky, tricky, tricky!  Just when you decide you want to paint your trim white the realization of how many white paint colors there are to choose from makes you feel like you just stepped on a rake. SMACK!  There are so many whites and most of them have undertones that set them apart from one another.  At Unique Painting we have a few favorites that we use consistently and today I’m going to share those with you and tell you what makes them our favorites.

1.Pure White SW7005:

Pure White is my personal favorite interior white.  It’s versatile, it can go warm or cool, it isn’t exactly an antiseptic white, but Pure White has very little undertone because there is very little colorant added.

2.Chantilly Lace OC-65:

Chantilly Lace is Pure White’s Benjamin Moore counterpart.  It is a pure, bright white, with very little undertone.

*Both Pure White and Chantilly Lace are like your super zen and extremely enlightened friend (or brother, in my case); laid back, goes with the flow, adapts easily to their surroundings…you get the drift.  They take on the temperature of the wall colors you pair them with. Both of these genuine, white gems are perfect for trim, cabinets, and ceilings.

3.Simply White OC-117:

If you can remember that far back, Simply White was the Benjamin Moore Color of the Year for 2016.  It is a warm white with a soft yellow undertone.  I’m digging Simply White these days as a wall color.  It pairs well with Pure White or Chantilly Lace as the trim color.  It is such a pretty white to use with wood décor and it is great for folks who just don’t like bright whites and want a warmer option for their trim and cabinets.

4.Snowbound SW7004:

Snowbound is softer than Pure White and Chantilly Lace, but in a different way than Simply White. Snowbound is a cool, I repeat, cool white, but has a bit of a gray undertone, actually, I would say more of a greige undertone.  I say that because it doesn’t appear too gray.  I hesitate to say that because greige would suggest that Snowbound is a warm white and I do not believe it is. Like I said, Snowbound is a cool white.  We’ve used Snowbound as a trim color and a wall color and it works well for both.  Again, using it as a wall color and pairing it with Pure White or Chantilly Lace would be a great option for folks that want to brighten up their space with white, but still want to see a contrast in their trim and wall color.

So, there you have it, boom shaka laka!… the Unique Painting KC, Top 4 Favorite White Paint Colors. All of these colors are tried and true to description, but that description is totally our perception. Do you have a white that you have used and love? Let us know what that color is and where you used it, in the comments below.  I would love to hear what you have to say about color!
